How to use this percentage calculator
We designed this tool to handle the three most common percentage problems you encounter in daily life:
- Calculating Discounts & Tips: Use the first row ("What is X% of Y") to quickly figure out how much you will save during a sale or how much to leave for a tip at a restaurant.
- Finding Proportions (Test Scores): Use the second row ("X is what percent of Y") if you scored a 45 out of 60 on a test and want to know your grade percentage.
