How tracking works
One container. Every platform gets the same truth.
Instead of pasting separate scripts into your site, everything runs through Google Tag Manager, so tracking is easier to change and less likely to break.
Your website
Visitors browse, fill forms and buy on your site or funnel.
Data layer
Each action is pushed as a clean event, like
generate_lead.Tag Manager
Triggers decide which tags fire, after checking consent.
Your platforms
GA4, Google Ads and Meta receive the same, deduplicated data.
What we set up
GTM setup services
Every build is done in preview mode first, tested event by event, then published with a version note.
GA4 events and conversions
Page views, scroll depth, form submits, purchases and custom events, named consistently and marked as key events in GA4.
dataLayer.push({event: "generate_lead",form_name: "contact",value: 1});
Google Ads conversion tracking
Primary and secondary conversions, plus enhanced conversions, so Smart Bidding learns from real leads and sales.
Meta Pixel and Conversion API
Browser and server events with deduplication, so Meta reports match your orders.
Consent Mode v2
A cookie banner connected to Google consent signals, required for ads in the UK and EU.
Ecommerce data layer
view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout and purchase for Shopify, WooCommerce and custom carts.
Server-side tagging
A server container on your own subdomain for more reliable data, fewer browser blocks and faster pages.
Form, call and cross-domain tracking
Track form plugins, click-to-call, WhatsApp clicks, embedded booking tools and checkouts on other domains.

FAQ
Google Tag Manager questions
What is Google Tag Manager and why use it?
Google Tag Manager is a free tool from Google that lets you add and manage tracking tags, such as GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel, from one place without editing your website code each time. It makes tracking easier to change, test and keep consistent.
Do I still need GTM if GA4 is already installed?
In most cases, yes. GA4 alone records basic page views. GTM is how you track form submissions, button clicks, purchases and other conversions properly, and send the same events to Google Ads and Meta.
What is Consent Mode v2 and do I need it?
Consent Mode v2 passes your visitors' cookie choices to Google tags. Google requires it for advertisers who show ads to users in the European Economic Area and the UK, and it is good practice everywhere else.
What is server-side tagging?
Server-side tagging sends tracking data through your own server container before it reaches GA4 or ad platforms. It improves data accuracy, reduces the impact of ad blockers and can make pages load faster.
How long does a GTM setup take?
A standard setup with GA4 and one ad platform usually takes a few days. Ecommerce tracking, several ad platforms or server-side tagging typically take one to two weeks.
Will Google Tag Manager slow down my website?
A well-managed container has very little impact. As part of our setup we remove unused and duplicate tags, which often makes pages faster than before.
